Exclamation

Little Movement

So for almost a week Ive noticed the babys movement has decreased ALOT. I hardly feel him kick me anymore. Maybe a few times at work. He useto kick me alot at night. I'm worried. Do you think everything thing is okay? I mean he can't be running out of room yet, can he?? Im such a worry wart Im listening to the HB a few times a day(before work, after work, right before bed) the HB sounds normal, and I always can find it because it never moves. Is it normal for a baby to be in the same area all the time? And is the little fetal movement something to be alarmed about? I read in my book you should feel 10 movements in a course of 10mins, that is def not happening to me, maybe 10 movements a DAY.

My friend had the same. She thought her baby was really lazy. 10 movements in 10 mins seems a lot though. I would talk to a midwife or doctor who will hopefully reasure you. Try http://www.midwivesonline.com/ They charge you unless you're a teenager but they answer any questions by email.

Try not to worry too much. My little one slowed down for a while. I thought there was something wrong too. Now he seems to be getting back to normal. If you are really concerned though, talk to your MW
I hope things go well

Hope all is well! If you feel somethings wrong I would call your doctor! I hear the further along you get the more they don't run circles in you because they are getting big =) and we monitor people at my work for decreased fetal movement so I know it's defiantly not 10 movements in 10 minutes (crazy book haha?) We go by 10 movements an hour but this does not begin until you reach your 30 week mark!

I wouldn't worry too much hon, like Nikky, I went through slow down of movement just a few weeks ago and now he/she is back at it again. Actually kept me up on Christmas night . If you get 10 movements a day then it should be fine but if its worrying you too much, then just bring it up with your doctor

When I was with #2, he wasn't moving much either, and I had made many "emergency" visits to the ob's office to check it out, but he was fine anyway!

This time with #3, I haven't been feeling my baby kicking much recently, I'll just mess around with my tummy for response. I think I may just drive down to my ob's office if I am not too comfortable...and I suggest you may wish to check it out if you do not feel comfortable about it as well.

Try doing a fetal kick count at least 3 times a day. You would do it in a 30 minute period...say start at 7 and count until 730. If the baby isn't moving as much then drink something with sugar in and repeat the test. There should be 3 movements in 30 minutes and if you don't feel 3 in 30 minutes then continue counting for an hour.

You can always contact your MW to reassure you, but it is 10 movements a DAY not in 10 mins. x
