Unhappy

Pregnancy Counselor Called

So, my insurance company has pregnancy counselors who call 2 or 3 times a trimester to 'help' you out. In the first trimester she ran down all the possible reasons for miscarriage; yeast infections, bladder infections, etc. She said what it would look and feel like. It really freaked me out, but...I figured since the first tri has such a real possibility of it..whatever. Good info to know. Yesterday she called cause I'm in the 2nd tri now and she was going over what would cause pre-term labor; yeast infections, bladder infections, drinking too much or too little water. I swear all she does is call to freak me out! I'm terrified for WEEKS after she calls that something awful is going to happen! Sorry..I know there really wasn't a point to this thread...but she really scares me!

Oh hon, I'm sorry you're getting such negative support from them . Honestly, do not listen to what they say. Its good to know what may cause something like that but the chances of it happening are pretty slim. I'm sure your pregnancy will be fine and without complications, most pregnancies go on without a problem. Over stressing will just make you feel crappy hon. I would go take a bath, relax and maybe listen to the babies heartbeat with the doppler? It will help you ease your nerves. Hope you feel better soon

Thanks. We listened to peanut with the doppler last night, it was so funny...he was on my right side, and as soon as we picked him up he moved over to the left and we had to chase him all around my uterus with the doppler for a good 10 minutes, lol. Thanks for the support, it's just SO easy to freak out I guess.

Yeah it is really easy, Im exactly the same and I think everyone is. Especially when people go nround saying things like that. The first time I went into hospital with baby problems they scared the hell out of me for no good reason.

I guess because of the suing culture thats started to happen in thisn world then, rightly or wrongly, they have to tell you about all of these things.

Its good you've got a doppler though, at least you can tell junior is still wriggling around in there! Im sure everything will be fine honey

xxxx

Some info is good, but too much is scary. Put it to the back of your mind and keep it there, it will always pop up if you need it, but until then take one day at a time and remember that everything is going OK and that you WILL not be experiencing any of that stuff she went on about! Think positive and put that info away in the back of your head! x

it's the insurance company, and the a.s.s.hol.e.s wanna make sure you don't do anything that would cause them to dish out money. just ignore her.
