I don't have a nut allergy, nor does anybody in my family.

My OH doesn't have a nut allergy, nor does anybody in my family.

So I have been eating nuts, and peanut butter, throughout my pregnancy

as far as i know, it's only peanuts we're warned about? However, i've been eating peanut butter occasionally, there's so much conflicting advice on eating nuts, i think you're only supposed to avoid them if either yourself or partner have allergies.

Why wouldn't you? My doctor never said anything about that... I eat nuts, esp. when I get hunger fits.

I have a nut allegy, so it's not really on the cards for me!

I'm not sure how strong the link is between high consumption of nuts in pregnancy leading to nut allegies later in life. I know it's been researched, but I don't think they've got findings yet...

I know that I was advised to stay away from all foods with high allegen links (eggs, tomatoes, nuts, milk etc), but thats because I already have a high chance of passing on my ill health to the sprogling. I think if their is a strong family history, perhaps stay as clear of them as you can, but a little bit won't hurt!

Yup my MW said nuts were ok too as long as no one in my family suffered with nut allergies or asthma (which they dont and neither does anyone on OH's side) I havent had any nuts yet during this pregnancy as I just havent fancied them..altho come to think of it, some cashews would go down nicely right now

Oh, I just wanted to have a mini-rant; I have the most awful craving for peanut butter, but I'll die if I eat it!

Tragedy!
