Really starting to freak out!! :(

I am 23 weeks pregnant today and suddenly everything has hit me and now I feel a complete panicky mess

We have got so much stuff to get still and so little time!
Not only is there LOADS of baby stuff we need to get but we also need to find somewhere to live and furnish/decorate and get settled before baby comes along

I really cannot see how we are going to do this, currently my partner lives 70miles away from me. So when he isn't here visiting (he can only come and visit once a fortnight) I feel completely alone

How the hell are we going to do this???!!!!!! we haven't got long before baby arrives and we literally have still got EVERYTHING to get for the baby and for the house

I have got myself in such a state today and I can't stop crying and what makes matters worse is it seems I'm the only one worrying about this! My partner just doesn't seem fased at all, he just says everything will be ok. He said we would have somewhere ages ago and we still haven't got anywhere to live!!
I don't want to be moving into a house when I'm heavily pregnant! I want to find somewhere ASAP and get settled before the baby arrives!

Oh god there's so much to do yet how the hell am I gonna get through this??!

Awww, I SORT of know how you feel...until a week ago I had NOWHERE to live but my luck just changed and within a week I have a new home and I'm actually packing my stuff NOW ready to move in on monday...and I still have to buy almost everything for baby as I've not been able to store any of that stuff here. I have loads of little things and loads of clothes but none of the major things...but I reckon once you're all settled for good, you'll feel so satisfied and have such a sense of achievment and you'll appreciate it all so much more. Plus with all the rushing around it'll all go quicker and you won't be sitting around like most pregnant women wishing the days away wondering when baby is gonna decide to make an appearance! I hope it all goes ok xxxxx

Hey

I was feeling like this a couple of weeks ago.

Strangely this helped:

I went onto ebay and ran 2 searches.

1) In the baby category, ticked distance 25 miles from my postcode
2) In the baby category, searched 'bundle'

I've since been to pick up some absolute bargains!! Because nobody else wanted to pay the postage etc.

And the bundles also make things very cheap.

I had wanted to buy everything new originally - but actually, all this stuff is better quality than I would have been able to afford new, and has no signs of use - infact alot of it IS new, just unused by the seller cos they had too much.

Also keep an eye on the Buy and Swap section on here.

Running the distance search in Home & Garden might also help you find some bits for the house.

But don't panic, a new baby doesn't need tonnes of things.

Also - if you search hospital bag on ebay - you can find them ready packed for £25 - £40

I understand. I had this freak out a few weeks ago and then suddenly went on a huge shopping spree to calm myself. We (DH and I) live with my parents currently because our flat did not have enough room for another person (and b/c my father lost his job, we wanted to help out).

Anytime I had the chance, I was crying and crying. DH would say, "It's going to be okay." That's about it. I think it's a guy thing. I think they try not to freak out around us because it won't help any.

But I promise, all the pieces will fall into place, some how. And you and LO will be just fine, I swear. Just take it a day at a time. And when you can, at least go out and buy his first outfit, his coming home outfit. It will make you feel a lot better.

I feel the same, im gonna be around 25 weeks when i get out of this hellhole im in and move all the way back up to central scotland to my parents house, i then have to buy the big things i need, i cant buy too much here because i wont be able to get it all home. I also need to find a flat, move in, decorate if its needs, get household tihngs and baby things, sort everything and get settled. and im on my own full stop!!

If i were you i would do online shopping, its so much easier, and if you can, ask someone if you can have things delivered to their house till; you move and can get it. If i buy my buggy before i move i will get it sent home or to my grans. And same with any other big things, im only buying tiny bits n peices here and there now. I just hvae nowhere to keep it down here my room is so small.

good luck, youll be fine, my friend is 32 weeks and just moved house and re decorating and not got nursery furniture, as long as you have a crib or moses basket you have an extra 3 or so months to get a cot or cotbed.! dont stress!
