Got a pain in my left buttock - What is it?

Feels like a muscle strain. But no idea what it might be. Do any of you have this sort of thing? Never had it before. Its like a twinge really deep in the left buttock - Rising from seat, sitting and Bending?

Could it be a trapped nerve? Sciatica?

Sounds like you pulled your butt muscle.

I've done it before. It will go away in a couple days.

Sounds like you have sciatica, I suffer it all the time, but more so when pregnant, and especially when i try to get up from laying completely flat.

Hija, sounds like babe is sitting on a nerve, poss the sciatic one? I used one of those big bouncy balls and used to just sit on it and wiggle my hips when my son got into an uncomfy position,i think it opens the hips a bit and seems to move them around, worth a try anyway.

I have the same pain - I have been told Sciatica. Its a horrid pain.

Yes I have it too, right in the middle of my right buttock! I was reading that it could be misdiagnosed as pregnancy sciatica but actually may be PGP (pelvic girdle pain). Funny name I know!

Google it! I'd be interested to know if you think that's what it might be. I started getting it at the weekend and it made my leg go numb today at work. :O(

I have had it with both my pregnancies. Mine hurts pretty much all the time. I was told it is my sciatic nerve.

Last preganncy I tried Physical Therapy but that didnt help me. The doc told me that I could try going to the Chriopracter if I wanted.
