Concerned about Baby's movements

I’m almost 21 weeks along and it’s our first baby. I don’t feel the baby move as often as I would like to. I know woman doesn’t feel the baby move when she is busy but when she is resting she can feel the baby’s movements. 2 weeks or so ago I felt the baby movement like pulse or fluttering in my belly but now I hardly feel the baby move. Secondly last week I was with my friend in her car and there was a dip on the road but she didn’t slow down and I experienced 2 sudden jolts. I got worried and called my Ob/GYN’s nurse and she told me its normal as baby is in a cushion of amniotic fluid and uterus. After this incident I am worried about baby. At least feeling baby’s movements is a bit assurance that baby is fine. Now I don’t feel the baby move as I used to before this incident. So I was wondering how often one is supposed to feel baby’s movements in a day during her 21 week pregnancy.

I wasnt feeling much at 21weeks. Like nurse said baby has loads fluid, wouldnt be harmed whatsoever.
When i hit 24weeks when i started to notice feeling movement, no matter what i did, when had 26wks i felt everything.

You cant rely on fetal kicks to be regular til about 24 weeks. In my last pregnancy I fell hard right on my stomach at 28 weeks and the baby was fine, the dr. said they have so much cushioning in there.

I haven't felt the baby kick yet. I'm having my scan today at 12.30, fingers crossed everything will be ok. Lots of women don't feel the baby move yet. I'm sure both LO's are ok. x

I was concerned last week as I wasnt feeling the baby move as much as I normally do & the mw told me that the baby wont get in to a routine until around 28-30 weeks & that the baby has lots of room in there so its easy for him/her to get in to a different position so you wont feel the kicks so much x she listened to the heartbeat & found it straight away as soon as she left the baby's movements went back to what i was used to x
If your concerned ask your mw I'm sure she'll be more than happy to listen to the HB to put your mind at rest x

My cousin didn't feel her baby move through her entire pregnancy. The doctors said it could be because she had really strong stomach muscles.
