Jelly discharge?

Sorry TMI but today i have LOADS of brown tinged jelly mucus? I'm so scared this is my mucus plug, anyone else had this?

I get jelly mucus all the time... all colours really... yellow/white usually. Has been orange and that was fine. Sounds like old blood to me. Mucus plus usually contains streaks of red or is all red.

Hello, I think you need to check with your doctor as white or transparent, odorless vaginal discharge is considered normal. If the discharge is yellow, brown, or blood tinged, and/or has small, it's not normal and one should see the doctor asap. Hope everything is fine with you. Good luck!

Yellow is fine and very common during pregnancy.

I have cervical erosion and was in hospital on saturday for 4 hours and told my mw about this today, so u think its my mucus plug then

Well if you have cervical erosion there is a good chance there will be some old blood hanging around in there, and this combined with normal pregnancy discharge could be giving you the brown jelly?

Just a suggestion hun.

I haven't had brown mucus but i have had cm and a goddam lot of it! The consistency really varies (sorry i know it's all a bit TMI!) but it is sometimes jelly like. Mine is normally clear/white or occasionally yellowy.

If you're really worried give your midwife a ring in the morning and see what she says.

I know what you mean, I get it thicker than ewcm some days but then I always have done. If you have cervical erosion, it's more than likely due to that. The discharge will be coming from up around your cervix which is why the blood from the erosion will have gotten mixed in. The mucus plug is never brown... it's always fresh... that's why it's pink or got deep red bits in it.
