| HELP! Bleeding gums! Hope someone can help. I didnt experience this in my last pregnancy and I have heard it happens. I just didnt expect it to be so bad. For the past week my gums have been quite sore while brushing but today you could actually see blood running down my teeth. I love my teeth and its really freaked me out, is there anything i can do to help/prevent this?
Thank you in advance! xx | | | | Status: Offline

| Second what everyone else is saying - Brush 2-3x a day and floss 2x if possible. Mouthwash is good too. When I told my dentist I was pg, he also have me an antibacterial gel to use as well, since gum disease is more common in pregnancy. So far I haven't had any bleeding so I am going to keep using it. | | | | Status: Offline

| jup have it at every brush session now!!!
I always had sensitive gums but the preganancy has made it far worse..
Try using a softer tooth brush and some antibacterial toothpaste and or moulth wash..
(not that it stopped mine form bleeding but it may prevent infections) | | | | Status: Offline

| make sure you floss and use a flouride mouthwash daily too, if you use corsydol just make sure it's the daily one as the other one can stain your teeth brown and the only way to remove that is through scaling, your dentist will probable scale your teeth to keep the gums clean and make sure you're brushing well too.
Don't use baking soda as this is quite abrasive to the teeth and can cause damage to the enamel. | | | | Status: Offline
