Last 2 pregnancies my gums were so bad that my teeth all moved! Lasto november I began orthodontic treatment to fix it and have a brace on top and bottom, but it's such a nightmare trying to keep my gums clean and healthy this time with that on. At least I know they're not going to move!

I'd never had the greatest of gums due to my jaw shape and smoking but when I gave that up 4 years ago when I fell pregnant with my son it improved vastly.

Because I can't floss with this brace on I've tried various things including the tepes, but they can really hurt if you jag them into your gums due to the funny angles you have to try and reach with the braces on! I'm about to order one of these from boots but I'm going to speak to my dentist tomorrow first to ask him if they're any good.

You can get super floss which is designed to fit into the brackets of braces, you can get it in boots or any chemist or just ask your dentist for some next time you're there..

I have a waterpik!!!! I really like it and my dentist noticed the change. When I asked him about it, he said that research hadn't proven or disproven its effectiveness, but he noticed the difference in patients that use it. Its very massage-y for the gums.
