Is boating OK?

My OH wants to rent a boat for a day. Do you think it'd be OK for me? The rental boat is a pontune boat, so it doesn't go fast. What about a canoe, do you think a canoe is safer? I want to do the boat thing, but if it's unsafe, then I hope we can do a canoe rental at least.

I'm an outdoor instructor and six months pg, still doin my job and went canoeing 4 time last week! Just don't lift them or paddle too heavily. Avoid capsizing the thing (which is difficult to do as long as you keep you centre of gravity in the middle of the boat - so don't sit on the edge of it!!!) if it does capsize then the water isn't a problem (assumig you're on a flat lake rather than a grade 3 river!) just be aware that the canoe doesn't hit you in your middle. If you are wearing a bouyancy aid then this should give you sufficient protection.

The two things i highly avoid doing when canoeing is lifting and capsizing x

Hope this helps xxx ps I find canoeing is a relaxing sport on a lake - non of this extreme dangerous stuff people think!!!!
