I don't think many airlines will let you travel after 32 weeks, some are 33 or 34, but with a doctors or midwifes letter. x

I agree, maybe worth checking with the airline & your midwife

Hi honey, im going to canada at 24 weeks and ive discovered that im ok to fly by about 4 weeks, after 28 you need a written cert by your dr to say your not likely to drop on the plane and also insurance gets a bit tricky.

Just talked to my obgyn about this yesterday, as I need to fly several times for my job around 33/34 weeks. The longest flight will be about 4 hrs.. He said no problem until 36 wks (as long as you make sure to walk around a lot)..Not looking forward to it, though.
It might be a bit different here in the US, though. And I am sure they would change their recommendation if I were to start having pregnancy problems, like contractions or high blood pressure.

I am flying to tenerife in 2 weeks (will be 26 + 3 when we leave) and doc, midwife, travel agent all have said it's fine. Most airlines will let you travel up to 32 weeks, some up to 34 but after about 30 weeks u need a letter. As for insurance the companies are not allowed to discriminate against you anymore because you are pregnant and cannot impose extra costs etc on to you. However i think its best to tell them anyway just to make sure, mine told me as long as this and my last 2 pregnancies were all 'normal' then i am covered. You should check directly with the airline you are flying with and mind and take your notes with you!
