labour :(

I hope theres other people that feel the same, but im REALLY scared of labour, i knw its another 19 weeks away but its all i could think of since i got preg. Im such a wimp when it comes to pain, and im completely bricking it!!
I know its worth it to see lil baby at the end but theres still going to be immense pain. Anyone have any tips on how i can overcome this or even stop thinking about it for a lil while x

I find watching the baby birth programmes on health channel very therapeutic. Yes it hurts - but it looks manageable and the ladies get through it. Ps I'm scared too. It's natural to be frightened. Xxx

Hiya,
I'm very scared of going through labour too. It's all I can think about as well.
I keep watching those baby programmes on home and health channel, hoping it will make me feel a bit better about it all.
I was only saying to hubby last night, I wish I could opt for a C-section and have it done whilst I'm asleep then it would all be over when I woke up.
I really know how you feel, I know baby has to come out somehow, but I'm really scared about it myself. I can't stand pain at all. God help me!!

Andrea xx

I agree with Buffy, I've watched a hell of a lot of birth videos and they make me feel a lot more at ease. It looks hard work and painful but it looks manageable x

I am not too worried about it, I have decided that I stress too much about things that are happening right now, and I dont want to add to my worry list LOL

I think that our bodies are made in a way that can cope with labour pretty well, yes its painful but creating another life couldnt really be easy, its all part of the whole process.

So, even though I know it looks scary and horrific, I am actually looking very much forward to screaming my guts out and then hold my baby in my arms. Its going to be wonderfully painful but who cares?

We will get the biggest price in the world

xx

I think that fear is totally understandable. I too am scared about the labour pains. Even the pain relief available sounds scary. But I find the more you know about what to expect the easier it will be.
