Other people touching your bump - do you think it's cheeky? - Page 3

I feel the same. I have a jelly belly at the moment not really a proper bump, so I just feel fat and I hate it when anyone tries to touch.

Glad to see I'm not the only one though. Hubby thinks I'm being over sensitive!

I thought I might feel different when there's a bump which is more baby than it is me. But I think I'll hate that as much to be honest. MIL gave my belly a jiggle when I saw her the other day and I was horrified.

I don't know why I feel so strongly about it because I know people are just showing an interest. But I've started spreading the word that I don't like it and it's definitely happening less now!

Honestly I really dont have a prob with others touching my bump. Though I myself would never touch a stranger, just akward I guess ... some people are like that. Dont bother me. *shrugs* Guess Im in the minority in that one though. LoL.

Ive been caught on surprise a couple of times.. im not that big yet though i do show a little belly already as i have got a very small frame..

Dh is the one that embarrasses me the most though haha, every outing we have with friends he shows it off like it is his!!! Yesterday we had end of season for netball (i quit a couple of games ago) and all the girls and partners were there, he managed to just squeeze the dress i was wearing so everyone could see the bump!!! Arggg, i felt kinda humiliated..

I don't like my belly being touched but I'm not a touchy feelyyyy person, lol! I'm getting a tee shirt that says baby sleeping no touching ROLF.

I have had two complete strangers who I was serving at work (Im a restaurant supervisor) touch my bump with no warning. Both of the said "so your expecting" as they went to touch it. I really wanted to tell them to back of but managed to smile, say yes and then walk away.
I think im ok with people I know touching it, love OH showing it attention, but just would rather strangers not, and especially not while I am working.
Im not even that big yet, hate to imagine what it will be like

I hadn't really heard of this until I got on this website - but I asked a few pg people and they say it happens all the time, and more often the bigger they get!!! OMG! I'm not really prepared for someone grabbing my bump - ug. I would say its really cheeky - it seems really personal - I would never consider doing that to a complete stranger.

I find it a bit freaky when people just do it - i hate it, unless of course family and close friends, and hubby of course

Hate it, hate it, hate it!! OH is only allowed to do it first thing in the morning and last thing at night even (he talks to it then, hoping it may start to recognise late mornings and early bedtimes!!!)
