Uncomfortable bump, normal???

Hi peeps!

This afternoon after my shower my bump has felt uncomfortable, it feels really full and like my skin is stretched to its tightest!
Just wondering if this is normal? is this just bump growing bigger or is it something else?

I have just put some cocoa butter on my bump in the hope that will help my skin. Anything else I can do to try and make myself a bit more comfortable?

Walking around is the worst at the moment so I'm just sitting down at the minute.

Thanks in advance,

Laura xx

Mine does that sometimes, its very wierd!
Just goes really tight and feels like someone is trying to pump me up with a bicycle pump but I can't be pumped up anymore (if that makes sense)!!

Thanks for the replies!

I just feel so uncomfortable, I have had this feeling before but not as bad as this.
It is exactly like you said CatStorey, like being pumped up with a bicycle pump but can't be pumped up anymore! Feels like I'm gonna burst lol

It's making me feel so uncomfortable! Don't think the heat is helping either.
I took a photo of my bump not long ago and it does look bit bigger than before so I assume this feeling is because of the growing baby is doing!

Funny how every little thing makes you worry when your pregnant and you notice the slightest change from the norm!

Now I just don't feel comfortable enough to eat! Urgh I hope this feeling passes soon!

Lozziepop it sounds like braxton hicks, they make your belly very tense/hard & can feel like your about to burst depending where baby is, I found moving around makes it easier as does relaxing in the bath.
I get this everytime i lie in bed & sometimes its quite uncomfortable .

Yes, I get this too - I think braxton hicks. It's also very tight when the baby moves and settles towards to front too.

Thanks for the replies laura and Dizzymoo!

Dizzy I didn't think of braxton hicks! I still have the feeling now, its been going on all evening continuously is that normal for braxton hicks to last that long?

The only way I can get some relief is if im sitting down but sitting back, i can't sit upright or forward because that's just too uncomfortable!

I'm hoping that I get a decent nights sleep tonight as I've had terrible sleep the past few days due to this heat

I have very similar Lozziepop - my bump gets like that - had it last night actually and think it was the baby laying very close to my front. Had a lot of pressure low right of my bump but it seemed to ease a bit if I sat back on the bed.... walking around for a bit helped too, think it encouraged bubs to move x
