I've just read somewhere that you really only need to avoid peanuts if someone in your family has an allergy. If no one does then you should be ok

I think its more a personal opinion, there is limited research that proves eating peanut when pregnant results in the baby having asthma and eczema later on in life. I Personally am eating all kinds of nuts still even though people in my family do have asthma.
Its only in the last few years they have said you should avoid peanuts, my mum ate them and my grandma and loads of other pregnant women i know, and all there babies are all fine.
Just do what you think best, if you want to eat those roses then you go for it girl. xx

New research came out the other week that your baby is at more risk if you avoid nuts....

That was it... i went to Asda and stuffed my face with Cashew nuts. Oh how I love them

Geeze, I hope it's not true, cause early on I had a craving for mixed nuts with the shells...so that I had to crack them open and stuff, LOL

You can eat peanuts, they just ask that you do so in MODERATION. However if you have eczema or asthma, they ask that you avoid it during pregnancy. You can ask your doc or midwife for more info.
