Sandwich ham safe or not??

I had all kinds of weird and wonderful cravings since I found out I am preg. Olives with anchovies and orange juice, sour lollypops, lemons, chicken liver, and some other things that I rather not mention....

But:

I crave Ham, I asked at the deli is it cooked ham and they say yes, so I just ate loads and loads, of ham with sweet chili sauce and pickled onions and pickled cucumbers IS IT SAFE????

and if not what could be going wrong now???

I'm sure it will be totally fine. I still eat all sorts from the Deli. At the end of the day the supermarkets are going to do their up most not to give you some kind of food poisoning.
Sometimes I think we can go a bit "overboard" with what is safe or not. Wimmin been eating this crap for 1000's of years and have been fine. I think all in moderation. ... although pickles I'm totally addicted to icelollys tho haha.

I'd be totally lost with out coleslaw sandwiches!!

Exactly what I was about to write, I have read deli ham is not safe but the pre packed stuff is. And also liver is not safe, I take that to mean all liver (I didnt know you could get chicken liver).

It seems different countries have different recommendations about ham.

In NZ they say not safe unless it is eaten steaming hot. Listeria can grow after cooking and continue to grow in refrigeration, but heat will kill it.
