weird ear popping sensation

I seem to have lots of things to complain about today, but I noticed that I got a weird sensation in my ears almost like they had popped and it made me feel like I couldn't really hear properly when I spoke to others and when they spoke to me. Has anyone else had this and what could cause this? Sorry if I haven't explained it very well but that's the best way I can think of describing it.

My ear pops all the time - often when I'm talking/eating. Sometimes it will feel like pressure than it clears. It is an eustachian tube/pressure thing. Do your ears feel clogged or painful? If it just pops and then is fine, I wouldn't worry. If it is clogged and is hard to hear people - like listening from a distance - and not painful, could be wax buildup (I know - ew) But if you also have pain or hot feeling in the ear canal, could be a middle or outer ear infection.

no pain, just a bit of a spaced out feeling. My ears don't actually pop, just a really strange feeling. I have low BP and low iron levels due to having hyperemesis so I don't know if it's related to this or not. It's def not wax build but I'm going to Docs on Tues might just mention it to her just in case.

i went to the docs and he said it was prob a virus that is sorting itself out and i didnt need anti biotics and it was nothing to do with wax as i didnt have a build up.

I had this off and on for a few weeks, and it felt exactly like wax buildup in one ear, but I knew it wasn't, and it's gone now.
I did look it up online at the time, and it is a pregnancy related thing, just like the stuffy/bleeding nose thing, it's all pregnancy congestion apparently!

I have a weird feeling in my ears every now and then when it sounds like they pop for about a few seconds and then it goes away, it feels like they are blocked with wax but i know they are not. i got the doctor to check my ears and BP and all was ok though, think its just part and parcel of being preggers x

just one of the joys of pregnancy then. I thought it might've been to do with my BP being very low and my iron levels too as I get very dizzy and have fainted too, this has all been due to my hyperemesis and I find I can't stand for long at all without feeling all woozy and weird.

Craftymum - I feel so bad that you have been having it so rough. The ears are prob not related to the bp/low iron levels - my bp has always been very low and they have to monitor it now that I am pg, but it hasn't gotten any lower. I am also taking spatone to get some extra iron in, but you prob would have a hard time keeping it down with hyperemesis.
I have checked in on the hyperemesis thread a bit, since I watched a friends sister have it through both her pregnancies and it is awful. Her wonder drug started with a z (can't remember the name) - it let her function and take care of her youngest, but she still didn't feel good until after lo was born. I hope you are feeling better today

hi sun, the drug was probably zofran unfortunately over here they only give that to us while we're in hospital for fluids they wont let us have them at home, I take cyclizine which are rubbish but my GP wont give me anything else to try as she says it's not safe for the baby, I tried the spatone as a few people had said it was gentler on the tummy so less likely to make you sick than tablets but I couldn't keep it down either. Your sisters friend was very brave getting pregnant again after having HG
