When the sonographer asked if we wanted to know the sex, excitement got the better of us and we said yes!  It was a fab scan too - the nasty mw was off today  arty: and so we had a locum sonographer. She was lovely and really made us feel special and was genuine when she laughed & giggled along with us.Baby is fine, we got called in to see the consultant afterwards and I have to have a further scan at 34 weeks due to a chromosome abnormality I have. Consultant offered amnio but at this stage the risks far outweigh the good and they doubt they would be able to interpret the results anyway (the chromosome involved isnt one they have studied much so there are no set parameters to go by, so we declined.  OMG! I forgot to say... its a  GIRL  |
