Scan tomorrow and I'm scared. (today now)

I have a slightly late 20 week scan tomorrow, the consultant at the hospital wanted the consultant radiographer to do it and he has been on holiday.

I was on Medication when I fell pregnant for my brittle asthma, up until about 18 months ago it was only used to treat patients after a transplant or on chemo so had not been tested for effects in pregnancy, but as it is a pretty strong drug that kills off your immune system the Dr's are concerned. That said even if tomorrow goes well it gets scary from here in as other imunosupressents have been shown to cause problems in the placenta that can led to death at the end of the second or third trimester.

I did stop the meds pretty quick so we do have hope!

Keeping absolutely everything crossed for you tomorrow. It sounds like a really scary situation to be in. At least you stopped the meds pretty quick, hopefully before any damage was done. Really hope your scan goes perfectly.

Bean was trying to be reassuring last night and kicked 7 bells out of me, from the moment I got in from work till the early hours. Scans at 10 then the dreaded consultant after.
