Hair loss

I think I saw a thread on this before but no sure where it went.

So my hair is falling out BIG time. So much infact that my thick hair is becoming THIN! I cant remeber where I read that loseing hair after birth is normal. Should I be concerned its coming out now? I already lost alot of hair after my weight loss surgery so Im not sure how much hair loss I can take. Wish the hair would fall out of other areas lol rather then my head

You are right there was a thread, but I can't find it, I was trying to get it foe you.....

Hair loss that is connected to pregnancy usually occurs after delivery. During pregnancy, an increased number of hairs go into the resting phase, which is part of the normal hair loss cycle. This condition is not serious enough to cause bald spots or permanent hair loss, and should begin to diminish within 3-4 months after delivery. If you feel that you are experiencing unusual hair loss while you are pregnant, this may be due to a vitamin or mineral deficiency. x

Ditto to Tam. Hair follicles normally hold on to hair during pregnancy so it is kinda strange that you are losing them now. Im a hairdresser as you may already know and there is a product line called Nioxen. It is for preventative and restorative hair loss. Its completely safe to use during pregnancy and after. I know you live in FL so I dont know where you can get it there. Im sure you could find somewhere, if not I could always get you some at discount and ship it to you Its a shampoo, conditioner and scalp treatment and it works like a skin care line for your scalp. It cleans out the follicles so that hair can freely grow undisturbed and more healthily. Anyway, just thought I would mention that

I've been having that problem too. I started using Pantene Pro-V Restoratives Breakage Defense shampoo and conditioner. It's been working really well
