I'm Currently Feeling: | Anybody else Depressed? Don't get me wrong I am happy about the baby. I just go through these depression spells everyday. Everything bothers me (of course a lot is going on right now too) but it has hit me so much worse now than then before I was pregnant. I have heard of women getting depressed after the baby but can is it normal before? Some days I feel like I just want to vanish off the face of the planet. I feel sad most of the time now. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I was feeling like that over the weekend. I think it's pregnancy horrormones (as I call them). All I did all weekend was cry! Poor DH, he doesn't know what to do with me! I mentioned it to the Dr. on Monday and he said it's normal. If it gets really bad, I'm supposed to call him, but it comes and goes, at least for me. I've been fine this week. If I stay busy, I'm good. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I've had it too over the past two weeks or so. I even called my Mom, crying, saying I wasn't sure I wanted the bubs, that I knew I wouldn't be able to handle it, that I was tired of being sick and tired, etc. I do love the peanut and want it, but..blah. I've had depression before (when I was a teenager) and my Dr warned me that it could come back pretty hard core because of the pregnancy hormones. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Women who have suffered from depression in the past can still have depression throughout their pregnancy and since we're so hormonal, it may hit us worse than ever. When I was younger I had suffered from pretty severe depression but have since gone into almost a bit of a "remission" for a few years. My doctor expressed to me that since I had once gone through dark spells that I am still susceptible to them throughout my pregnancy and told me that it is quite normal within pregnant women.
If you feel as though you are suffering from depression, don't hesitate to speak with your GP or MW as they can prescribe you something for it and it would not be harmful to you or your baby. Feeling sad all of the time is a good reason to speak with someone. Good luck! Hope you feel better soon. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm going to speak to my Dr on the 24th when I go in for my next appt. I don't even go to my firehouse or anything anymore cause nothing seems 'fun' to me. I hope we all cheer up soon! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I hope you all feel better soon, Ive suffered with this for about 7 years now (cant believe its been that long!) and I used to self harm, but stopped that about 2 years ago when I met my OH.
I really hope you feel better soon Its a horrible feeling tat one deserves, and I dont think anyone can understand unless theyve been there themselves.
*massive hugs*

I'm Currently Feeling: | Babe, I would definately talk to your GP and MW about this.....as it is very normal for this to happen whilst pregnant as well as afterwards. You do not want this to get soo big that you feel there is nothing you can do to make yourself feel better. Please do this as soon as possible hun because then you can be monitored too, which will help in stopping it getting any worse and put a stop to PND. Good luck hun and please let us know how you get on! x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I had depression quite badly a few years ago and can slip back into it quite easily even though I'm a general cheery person. When I first became pregnant I became depressed just days later. I was so down I would just burst out crying and was really struggling to cope. Luckily it lifted after about a month or 6 weeks but I know it could come back. I think it was due to the shock of such a life changing experience and the raging hormones. |
