I cut right back when I first found out I was pregnant and switched to decaf tea and coffee but later on I read somewhere else that there is no evidence that caffine has much effect at all and I drink coffee like normal now.

I used to be a megga coffee fan, but totally went off it, even before I found out I was pregnant but I didn't click. I remember my partners mum saying to me "are you pregnant" I was like no way, how did she know.

I'm on to tea now, but only 2-3 cups a day. My weakness is coke, can't stand any coke except the full fat stuff, bad I know. x

i did substitute my morning coffees for teas during most of my first trimester and early second tri, but recently i just felt like drinking them again in the mornings...I'll have half a cup and dump the rest...and i'm trying my best to only have them 3-4 times a week at the max...

thanks guys!

Cut back some, DH read about artificial sweetners, and has told me nay nay for softdrinks, but I get one or so a week

I had a huge problem with getting enough water... I got dehydrated twice in about 6 weeks... so now I've really tried hard to get a lot of water in. It really has made a big difference in how I feel, and how energetic I am. Funny enough when I would normally drink coffee (a natural diuretic-which makes dehydration worse) I now drink water, and am almost more ALERT than the artifical alertness I got with coffee.

i feel kinda guilty gals...ever since i was preggy, my urge to have soda drinks were much stronger than before...i know it does more harm than good, but i really couldn't control myself...

ok, i will from now onwards, cut down all soda drinks and coffee only once or twice a week.
i hope its not too late...

I used to drink mainly Pepsi Max, so when I got PG I tried to cut down, which I did managed but I had to do it over a couple of weeks as I was getting very bad headaches. But I still had a glass or 2 a day and I also started to fancy coffee, which I never used to drink, so I never avoided it completely, I just cut right back. x
