| Brown is dominant, blue is recessive.
Our babies will have blue eyes
If B=brown, b= blue
My mom and dad are blue eyed and brown eyed. When they made babies, they had blue eyed kids which means each parents carried blue eyed genes. Dad = Bb and Mom = bb
Filling in the Punnet's square we get:
Line one Bb (Brown) and bb (blue)
Line two Bb (Brown) and bb (blue)
or 50% chance of getting either brown eyed or blue eyed child. This is assuming neither parent carries any other genes for any other eye color which we know isn't the case... |
