palpitations ?

Im undecided whether this is something to brush 1 side, or to discuss with mw next week.

Ive been having palpitations since might friday night/saturday. Never recalled having them before so much, you know 1 off now and again. Didnt have this in my first pregnancy.

First time happened after been to loo through night got back in bed, my heart seemed to go crazy, as though had lack of oxgyen. Must feel asleep.

Then following days, had it couple times, still didnt think much of it. Today, its happened hell of alot more. Like just before watching tv happened about 5 times with lack of oxgyen feeling. I dont need to moving or anything it just comes on.

Forgot to add - Keep getting bad headaches to.

Anyone had anything like this? Related to anything?
I girl i know of who's pregnant said her MW mentioned could be low iron levels, anyone been told this?

Thanks

i don't know what it is but i've had phases of having palpitations since very early on the doc said its normal in pregnancy because of higher volume of blood and hormones and stuff don't know about the anaemia thing def mention it it doesn't hurt to ask!

I hd this when I was pregnant and got referred to cardiologist. He said I have a small heart murmur and palpatations were due to baby kicking my diaphragm area and it setting off ectopic beats in my heart, nothin to worry about though. I used to have palpatations before I was pregnant and now rarely ever get them.

Tell your midwife as you should get checked over, but the cardiologist did tell me that it is common as foetal movement sets them off.

Hope you feel better soon.

x

I get them all the time. Its really annoying when you're trying to go to sleep and your heart feels like its about to hop out your chest.

My OB isn't overly worried about it tho. If you're unsure get your MW to check you
