I unfortuantely suffer from severe excema and it has gotten horribly worse ever since I got pregnant. I can't use much on it, because many of the lotions provided for me by my dermatologist had steriods in them. So they told me to start using Eucerin Hand and Body Cream and/or Dove. These two things have been my best friends lately. They are a bit expensive, but they work wonders. My skin has felt so smooth lately and I'm ecstatic that I have good skin again. The doctor also warned me against wearing tight clothing around my growing stomach in the winter time if dry skin is a problem with me (which it is). I recommend that to you. Wear things that are loose fitting, because the more they rub on your skin and the tighter clothes get, the more they rub and cause irritation on your skin.
Sorry this is so long, I just have had many problems with this! HA! Also, try not to take real hot showers or baths, that really dries your skin out horribly and causes your skin to flake. Well, I think that's about it! It's winter, so there's bound to be dry skin somewhere. Hope this helps!

My BEST recommendation is to put baby oil in your bath or apply it after a shower before drying off........I used to live in Bristol here where the water is very hard and I used to itch and flake like no ones business, but once I started doing that it helped no end! Good luck hun! x

I have crazy dry skin too, especially in the winter time, I get itchy all over. I'm allergic to cocoa butter and jojoba oils (lucky me) and the only thing that doesn't bother my skin is plain ol' vaseline. After I get out of the shower and dry off, but when I'm still warm and damp I rub a thin layer of vaseline all over myself and it's absorbed by the time I get to the bedroom and get dressed. I stay moisturized all day and I'm not greasy at all. If your skin is REALLY sensitive that might help you too.

Thanks for all of the amazing advice ladies, you help so much.
I think I have a lot of shopping to do tonight to find out which of these works for me, it's nice to have such a wide variety to work with.
Thanks again! My skin is crying out for help
My doctor recommended me with this oatmeal cream because he can't prescribe me steroid cream anymore. I used it last night and the itchiness seems to have gone but Im desperate for the redness to go for an xmas party on Friday!
