I'm glad you sound relieved having made that decision

For me, I'm feeling stubborn about making compromises when work aren't making any.

I don't mean to throw the cat amongst the pigeons... but could you not have taken less crates on your trolley (3 or 4 instead of 6?) - or something - just to reduce the impact... rather than having to cause yourself financial problems?

They are meant to accomodate you.

Sorry - but it makes me cross.

xx

Makes me cross too hun. It's all down to the amount of shopping hours we have to do in a certain time limit and cos there's usually around 20 of us doing the shopping and all our names are on a system that automatically gives out all the shop jobs, it's kinda put up with it. I've tried to ask my boss or team leader to change me from one job to another easier/lighter one but she's never very willing as all she cares about is getting her shopping hours done in time
And I am quite relieved that I'll be cutting my hours down to be honest. I'm sick of fighting this now, sick of work, sick of fighting the tiredness, sick of my home being a complete mess cos I dont have the energy to do anything when I get home from work, sick of my back pain, sick of feeling sick, sick of everything lol!

I just wish I had the energy to fight this further but I might try and pursue it when I've switched to part time. I need to talk to our HR manager anyways about cutting down my hours so I will explain to her why and I will also tell her that I'm not very happy about it as it will be a financial struggle at this point.
There's still a few kinks I need to iron out yet, but I hope to get it sorted soon

I completely understand

I just hope you understand your rights.
It doesn't matter what targets they have. And if the work isn't suitable, they HAVE to find you suitable work OR suspend you on full pay.

So it is worth a little bit of hassle to try and get it all above board. Rather than just being bullied into submission - AND a situation which makes life worse for you.

If you've got any questions, speak to ACAS http://www.acas.org.uk I think - (08457 47 47 47 from memory)

ALSO be careful about reducing your hours. This can result in a change in your contract and a LESSENING of your employers responsibility towards you - which means they don't have to reinstate you

I know it's a fuss, but you have to look after yourself

hiya,

I had this too, about four weeks ago, and it was painful. I mean I couldn't move. My DH had to rescue me once. He had to rub my rear end before I could even try to limp.

What helped me was stretching our the area. A good stretch is the cat and others that work the arse area. I also changed my shoes to have a slight heal and I began sleeping with a pillow between my legs.

It has helped a lot and I am much better now.

Good luck
