Not feeling it much yet, but I can hear the occasional bang on the doppler. Nothing in me makes that kind of noise other than LO smacking at the sound of the probe

That was what I meant. It was the only thing I heard

It didn't happen the first few times, but somewhere between 15-17 weeks or so, one day, it just started up. That's another reason I knew it was LO.

Like a loud "pop" on the speaker, but not a feedback pop, KWIM?
The other thing I would say is to try around on the sides, too.
At 15 weeks, the baby is still pretty small and can hide and swim away, easily. Give it a try in several different areas, even if they may not make the most sense. Also, try pointing the end at an angle in every direction. Sometimes you just have to be slow with it because it takes a minute to pick up the sound.
