Yep...bout a week ago he wasn't having it. I could hear him banging around in there, though, but no heartbeat after trying for quite a while.
Then yesterday, I barely got the probe on my belly and there it was, loud and clear!

I am 15+4 and still have trouble finding babys HB but I kept searching low for it (as that is where I always find it) and found it about an inch below my belly button yesterday so I think baby is tryin to trick me. I do feel lil one moving around everyday now so I dont worry as much but I still try to find HB every now and then and I feel that my baby tries to move away from the doppler which makes it harder to find. there are days I dont find it at all so I wouldnt worry. just keep trying each day Im sure you will hear it real soon baby might just be snuggled toward the back or real low down.

Maybe start to try it bit higher now. Uterus might be growing bigger, and baby moving bit further up

hmm is that right? i havent had any problems finding it so far until tonight when i just couldnt and now i'm worried!!! i've been told i have an anterior placenta so if everything is moving higher up could he/she be hiding behind that? (nathansgirl not sure whether you have that too) i last heard it on monday loud, clear, and 'normal' speed but kept moving away!

Not feeling it much yet, but I can hear the occasional bang on the doppler. Nothing in me makes that kind of noise other than LO smacking at the sound of the probe That was what I meant. It was the only thing I heard
It didn't happen the first few times, but somewhere between 15-17 weeks or so, one day, it just started up. That's another reason I knew it was LO.
Bout made me fall of the bed Like a loud "pop" on the speaker, but not a feedback pop, KWIM?

The other thing I would say is to try around on the sides, too.
At 15 weeks, the baby is still pretty small and can hide and swim away, easily. Give it a try in several different areas, even if they may not make the most sense. Also, try pointing the end at an angle in every direction. Sometimes you just have to be slow with it because it takes a minute to pick up the sound.
Good luck
