I'm Currently Feeling: | Sharp pain in leg while sleeping Hey girls, I have read that muscle spasms and pain are normal in pregnancy, especially in the legs, but have any of you experienced it this early?? Just about every night while I'm trying to sleep, I get a very sharp pain in my calf right below the back of my knee. It is so intense, it feels like someone is stabbing me!! And it wont go away, unless I sit there stretching my leg out back and forth. Last night I woke up crying because of it, and my poor DH tried to help, but touching it makes it worse. Anyone else experiencing it? I've heard potassium helps, but not sure if thats true, as was from my dad, and pretty sure he has never been pregnant. If anyone else knows what might help, PLEASE let me know. Thanks!! | | | | Status: Offline

I wish I could help you out with an answer, I haven't had that yet but I found this online, it seems pretty normal. http://www.justmommies.com/articles/...regnancy.shtml
Hope that helps hon, if it still worries you. I'd just give my doctor a ring for reassurance | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thanks Jenny! That basically is exactly what I experience. I've been eating things with lots of calcium, just cause I've been craving it. I'll have to start eating more bananas too and see if it helps. If it continues I may ask my doc when I see her, but not til mid Dec. Thanks girls! =) | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi girls
This had happened to me as well and and there were particular nights when i was really in pain and totally unable to move my legs...
Until now, my both my calfs permanently still hurt like some kinda muscle aching real bad, when i walk, get up from bed, etc and won't seem to go away.
I am not sure too what causes this, I hope this goes away after I give birth.
Cheers. | | | | Status: Offline

Whenever I get cramps in my calves I just get up and walk around and they usually go away. | | | | Status: Offline
