Anyone elses OH not interested?

Hiya Ladies

Just really wanted to ask if anyone elses OH isnt that interested in their pregnancy....

I've been with my OH for 14 years (we were childhood sweethearts) and we always wanted to plan when we were gonna have children,so last april thought yup time is right lets go off the pill n start trying.

I had a Chem Preg sep last year and in Jan we got pregnant,i had really really bad morning sickness and my OH was a lil love looking after me and doing all the shopping, housework n cooking etc..

But for the past couple of months its like hes totally uniterested in the pregnancy at all, everytime i try to talk to him about names, cots, nursery and just general baby stuff he tries to change the subject.I've asked him whats going on and hes said hes just not interested in the pregnancy and when the lil ones born thats different, hes really really brilliant with children so i'm pretty confident he'll be cool when lil un comes..

He doesnt seem intersted in ME at all at the mo,espec the bedroom area,we havent had sex in months, and couple of weeks ago i told him i needed some new knickers, bless him he went to tesco when he'd finished his shift n got me some,i was shicked as hellwhen i saw them though, normaly he or i buy lacey knickers lil hipster things, but the ones he'd got me,were full ass, floral n frilly, lol,i was liek ermmm how come you got these n he was oh well thought i'd get ya some mumsy knickers!!!! so not usual behaviour.

SOz girls i just really needed to get it out.

D
xx xx

My OH is certainly less interested in pregnancy right now, as he has 2 kids already, so he feels like he's been there, done that, whereas this is my first baby, and I'm over the moon about every little thing! I think he might get his interest back once we can feel LO kicking on the outside...right now, she tickles me and I giggle, but OH can't feel it yet. As for in the bedroom...well, he's definately loving my pregnant body, so I have no complaints there! I think my OH's deal might be that he's so stressed about our life situation, that he just can't be happy right now for all the stress and worry he has. Poor man, he is so sweet.

i think alot of husbands / OH get like this, my last partner when i was pregnant wasnt that interested in much at all tbh and even when wee one was born wasnt up for taking turns at feeding etc grrr.

This time around my new partner is great, he is always fussing over me etc and asking to feel my tummy to see if he can feel 'him' kick!

Where he got the idea to get you big pants from i dont know! Im sorry he's not enjoying being pregnant with you but at least you have here to come too! this is my haven to ven and rant lol xx

i started a thread a lot like this about 2 weeks ago.
i think men just dont feel the excitment as much as we do becaus we go through every stage feeling everything!
as for the bedroom departmenthe is probably scared of hurting you or the baby!
and the knicker thng maybe he though you would feel more comfy in them! plus im not sure you can get get lacy hipster ones in a pack? men with underwear get embarassed and go in and out asap lol dont worry!!!!

my OH has been obsessive about our pregnancy. its our first child and i can honestly say it was me who showed less interest than he did! when i started getting a bump and feeling the baby kick i began to get excited.
its not just the men who can feel detached!

Sometimes it feels like my hubby isnt interested but he is, he's just trying to protect me, a close friend of ours told me that my hubby was worried that if something happened then it'd be hard for me as it was with my four losses that i've had.

It's normal...we start bonding with our babies right away....Some men start bonding for their children as soon as they lay eyes on them....
Don't think anything of it.
