Becuase I am and it has some very crazy directions. Which make it had to take.

Here is what it says word or word:

"Use this medicine exactly as directed on this package, unless instructed other wise by our doctor. THIS MEDICINE IS ABSORBED BETTER ON AN EMPTY STOMACH BUT MAY BE TAKEN WITH FOOD if it upsets your stomach. DO NOT TAKE IT WITHIN 1 hour before or 2 hours afterantacids, eggs, whole grain breads, cereal, mike, mike products, coffee or tea. TAKE THIS MEDICINE WITH A FULL GLASS OF WATER (8oz). DO NOT LIE DOWN for 30 minutes after taking. Take one pill by mouth twice a day, do not take two doses at once."

I find that very odd, and it makes it kinda hard to take and has me VERY confused.

Does anyone else take this stuff and is it that big of a deal if I take it to soon before/after eating those items??

I'm not taking any iron supplements just now, but i did earlier on in the year & remember reading something similar. It makes it awkward to know when to actually take the damn things, lol!!

Right.......take it when you first get up before breakfast. And if it does upset your stomach, have a banana before taking it as they are filling and will satisfy you until you can eat again.

If you are eating a good diet you have no need to take iron supplements.
Personally i would consult with your doctor before taking supplement as you could cause problems.
if you are eating red meat then you will have a naturally high iron level.

Well my doctor was the one who told me to take it. I eat red meats... and I love them. My iron had been fine up untill this last visit.

I think the morning would be the best time, hopefully it doesn't make you feel sick but if it does, I agree with Tam. Bananas or fruit of some sort would be good to take it with. I would be just as confused as you if I tried to take it any other time during the day. Thats a lot of food to avoid

Yeah that is a lot of food to avoid and a lot of time to wait to eat when your prego and hungrey.

My doc. just wrote out the prespriton for me, and thats what it says on the bottle and papper work. I really am not a big fan of taking pills of any kind, but I'll do wat I have to for Rylee, but all those crazy rules make it so hard! lol

You know I guess I will start tomorrow with the banana thing.....well I dont have bananas but I do have blackberris, apples and oranges. I'm just kinda worried about the acids in the fruit. In my 1st tri. I couldnt eat fruit at all when I first got up.... it would make me so sick. Maybe things have chaged a little its worth a try, but then I still have the second pill to take later.... and it doesnt even say how long after the first one to wait for the other one.

So far they havent make me sick, although I think the other night I did take one sooner then I should have and it made my ears get really hot and red.
