My midwife told me to keep taking mine up until I got to 20 weeks. Never gave me a reason for it though.

I've been taking pregnacare constantly since 1999 when I got pregnant with my son!! Doesnt seem to have done me any harm at all, or my kids for that matter.

I'm still taking mine and will do until i stop bf. The vitamins and folic acid are good for baby and will do no harm at all. They recommend taking folic acid up to 12 weeks as that is when the baby really needs it. xx

I have been taking Pregnacare since i was 4 weeks pregnant, but these past 2 weeks, i have been forgetting to take the odd tablet (i think i have forgotton about 4 in total this fortnight). But as im 15 weeks, does it matter as much? I was just a little worried that its important i dont forget ANY until i actually have flump! I hope not Eeek!

I know it seems to me like you girls in the UK only take your prenatals in the very beginning, but my prescriptions each (multivitamin, iron, and folic acid) were for 100 pills, AND I had refills on them, so I assume that they want me taking them the whole time... SO I don't see how it could hurt to take them. Also, if they say that you only take them for the first 12 weeks, it's probably more like you only HAVE to take them for the first 12 weeks, and after that they would say it's okay to stop taking them... so ladies who get upset stomach from them wouldn't have to keep dealing with that. You know what I mean?
