I think I can officially say I've moved into the second trimester! I'm so shocked that everything has been moving so quickly and that I'm almost 14 weeks along now. Had another doc appointment today and everything looks great. We heard the heartbeat again...it was 140 bpm. The DH is getting excited because we've heard the lower the heartbeat, the higher the chance is for a boy. Ha ha, who knows! We've also got the date set for our first ultrasound, in which will be the first time we see the baby and when we find out the sex!! December 21....right before Christmas! As you can see, we're very excited!

Congrats! on making it this far! its really exciting. I hope you get the sex you would like but our baby's heart rate was 145 and shes a girl.

I wonder if the whole heart rate thing holds true.....

Congratulations! Time flies by quite quickly, doesn't it? That will be a nice pre-Christmas gift, learning the sex. You will definitely enjoy this trimester... less sickness and you get to feel the first kicks. Congratulations again.

Congrats!!! Mine actually had a higher heartbeat...around 150...and he is a boy! Not sure if I believe the whole heartbeat thing anymore...

150 still isn't that high.. Alot of people get 165-170! I hope my midwife does mine on tuesday.. or at my 16WK appt! Anyway, I shall be joining you in the 2nd tri soon enough! Can't wait, less than a week

My mom was completely positive I'm going to have a girl because his/her heartbeats were around 162 each time I went, but lately they've been going down to 142-146, so she's unsure. I don't believe in the heartbeat thing, just an ol' wivestale to me. But we'll see what happens!
