So disappointed!

Well, we are going on a holiday in 2 weeks time, so I was after a tankini!
I found this gorgeous tankini on Mothercare website http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product...95041&mcb=core (if link doesn't work it is the 2 piece one, white and red stripy one, with polkadot bow in the front).

But, as I have really large boobies I decided I should go and try it on before buying. Drove 20 miles to my nearest Mothercare store and what a disappointment it was!!!!

I am usually size 18, but even after I tried 16 and 14 my boobs kept sliding down below the cup bit. It offers no boob support whatsoever (basically in the cup bit they used just the same material, with no extra lining or no invisible support, as anywhere else on the swimsuit). After size 14 bottom bit started to feel too tight.
So, maybe if you have really small perky boobies this swimsuit will be ok, but for anyone who needs some sort of support it's a no no!

I tried some other swimsuits and have to say that I didn't like any of them. The fit is just wrong! the one which was more or less ok was this one http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product...95041&mcb=core (called knot swimsuit in brown), but then again, there was nothing special what would suggest that it is a maternity one. And I was after a two piece one.

I think Mothercare should work on swimsuit collection a bit more. We pregnant ladies need our boobies supported not them going south!

So my advice would be, if you want a maternity swimsuit - try before buy!

(I also left my comment on their website)

That is really good to know, my friend is going on holiday and was going to buy a swimsuit from Mothercare. I'll let her know to try it on first! What a dissapointment though, you'd think that a company specialising in maternity clothes would know that support in the boobage area is top priority!!! x x x

I looked before i went on holiday, and i honestly dont get the Mothercare ones. Surely the most important thing for a pregnant woman is support and to be able to cover the ever erect nipples!!! (so some padding would be nice) but no, none of the tankinis there had that, i was shocked and ended up buying cheap normal tankinis to take

That is right! And I also decided to buy just an ordinary cheep one (maybe a size bigger).

I am just so mad with it! because on the website it actually says "with hidden support", but it must be very hidden that I even didn't notice it!

I prefer tankinis but find that to get enough material to cover my boobs i need 2/3 sizes bigger (which means the rest is really baggy) and the ones i like have no support so what i done was got a bikini top that matched the colour of my tankini and wore the bikini underneath, giving me plenty of support and coverage.

When I was having Charlotte our aqua natal teacher insisted that we wear a bra under our swim suits to offer more support, I found as long as the bra was the same colour as the suit it wasn't especially obvious.
