Just wondered if anyone else is also around the 20 week pregnany mark and not working and what do you get up to in the day/ the week
My husband works full time and I was the bread winner in the relationship earning big bucks but now the niggest amount I have earnt recently is off ebay for bits and bobs!

Me. I'm a housewife/stay at home mom. I don't have any orders from dr's to not work but also the fact is that hubby wouldn't let me work now anyways. He would not hear of it! He barely lets me do that much around the house here. I'm just very blessed to have a great loving husband that takes good care of me and loves me and this baby so much.

Well I am currently suffering with Sciatica so just going for a walk kills me! The most I manage is a slow stroll
I do have a daily/weekly routine...consists of getting up around 8.30am, having coffee and bowl of rice krispies (I cant get enough of rice krispies!!) then logging onto the papers online, checking my ebay auction stuff, watching a bit of news on tv then around 10.30am I have a quick dust up of the house and hoover (we have three cats and they can be quite messy!)
Take a trip to the shops for a wander around, post ebay stuff or post bills etc
Back for lunch around 1pm - usually sandwich, fruit, juice and crisps or little tea cake (made 20 fairy cakes today)
Depending on day ( like today) I had a complete bleach of the bathroom, cleaned it top to bottom, put clothes washing out / away / ironing etc
Then on MOndays (today) and Wednesdays I have aqua natal at 6.30pm and Friday I have yoga

Hi gals,

I'm not working...lost my job in November so someone else could keep theirs...I've been looking for work since then, but the economy is so bad here...I got pregnant in January, and wasn't really that worried about finding work, but...I'm starting to get scared now cuz I'm over 3 months, and I'm afraid no one will hire me...and if I don't work, I don't get maternity leave, and we just won't be able to make it on OH's income alone!

I spend most of my days looking for work (and cleaning!)

I'm at college if that counts? 3 full days a week (although right now there are tutor strikes so it's only 1 day a week!).

Ds1 is 7 and at school then care club 5 days a week. Ds2 is almost 4 and at nursery 5 full days a week.

Mon, Tues and Thurs - college
Wed and Fri - on my own till about 4pm when I pick the kids up

So, weekdays it's up at 7.30am, get me and the kids ready for school/college/nursery, back home at 4.30pm for dinner, bed the kids at about 7.30pm and then some tidying up. My days off it's usually just housework or doing stuff for our sandwich shop (my parents run it) or maybe going into town (it's respite time for me, DS2 has cerebral palsy so I don't feel that I have to spend time doing housework). Weekends we try and do something fun especially if DH is off work. I haven't mentioned him as he works shifts so we never know if he is going to be at home or not!

I just moved out to Arizona from North Carolina in Feb. Been putting in applications online, havent heard anything back from them. I want a part time job, my boyfriend is in school full time so sitting around the house gets boring. But i have just recently been put on moderate bed rest at 17 weeks of pregnancy, so im afraid i wouldnt be able to work. Or that it would be unfair to the employer that i wouldnt be reliable. Who knows. Right now im in bed or on the couch, with my laptop. I cant wait to get off bedrest

hiya,

i havent worked for 7yrs since i was pregnant with my eldest. i was really bad with my back and on bed rest for pre-eclampsia, i left b4 they sacked me. i havent looked back since.

obviously i have the kids to keep me amused and do the housework as and when. i spend time on here and on the family tree forum, i started tracing the family history after eldest was born. on good days i go out even if its only a walk around the estate. if bad i do x-stitch or read etc. shopping is also another past time!

Hi Girls

I'm not working too due to ill-health - SPD so have been at home since the 6th January. I was so bored to begin with as my day consisted of doing the school run then back home, surf the net then school run again, cook and get ready for more school run the next day. I tried to rectify this by begging my doctor to allow me to work 2 half days which he agreed to but my work sent me back home and said that it wasnt safe to be at work (am a lecturer) and that the students could get boisterous and knock me over on my crutches so it was back to school run only again. I am now really used to it and spend my day on line either on forums or watching programmes I missed on BBC Iplayer or Channel 4 on demand. I have so many Come Dine With Me's to watch and they surely keep me busy...........sad comes to mind lol
