I think I know why second tri goes so quickly.....

I was thinking the other day how quickly time has gone since my 12 week scan (I have my 20 week scan MOnday EEEK

) and wondered why it was so different from the first tri and these are the reasons I came up with:

Because we are trying to catch up with all the work we couldn't get done whilst hanging our head over a toilet bowl
Because we aren't waiting to pee on a stick anymore
Because we've had our first scan and it's SOOOO long until the next one, or is it?
Because we now can eat like a horse becuase we don't feel sick and keep thinking "tomorrow I'll start being healthy as it's still early days" but it's not! I'M HALF WAY THROUGH!!!
Because our friends keep saying how large we have become in such a short amount of time
Because we dread the day our nipples start leaking
Because our day is spent trying to hold in the large amount of gas our bodies are making.......
Because time passes quickly when shopping for baby stuff!!!!!

But maybe this is just me, but then again maybe not!!!!!

I'm finding it goes a bit quicker but that is because I have my doppler, so I know baby is ok, I'm less scared about miscarriage (although still a little scared), I've been redecorating my entire house and catching up on the gardening, I've cunningly planned LOTS of social events for the next few months, I'm going on holiday in three weeks, I have my birthday party in a month, I have a new kitten to play with and we might be moving house. It's still dragging a bit though, I feel like I've been pregnant FOREVER.

i hated the time from after 12wk scan to 16wk cos i didnt have a doppler and i didnt feel hime move till 16wk, also just didnt feel preg either !! but yeh 2nd tri has gone fairly fast (now im cuming to the end of it

Thank god this isn't just me! the last few days have been horrendous!! hehe. Kinda gets in the way of distinguishing baby movements when you can constantly feel your bowels grumbling!!

Oh, I had some horrible gas last night.

Poor hubby kept getting whiffs of it when he was so graciously putting lotion on me. I warned him though!

I had the same thought today that second tri is going by so fast. It seems like every few days the kicks get bigger and stronger and my belly gets bigger. It actually made me glad that pregnancy doesn't go any faster because it would be kind of creepy! Then I thought that this is why parents say their kids grow up so fast and then I got sad that my little girl is going to grow up! And she's not even born yet! Sheesh. Scary stuff.
