six weeks later...

I've finally had the confimation letter with the results of the down's syndrome test i took six weeks ago!
Does it really take six weeks to post a letter which they told me i would have in a week???!!!!

six weeks! ugh, ive always found my drs or anyone in that profession to be so unreliable

just plain inconsiderate!

6 weeks!?! I'm assuming you got a good result then? That's crap for how long you've had to wait though!

I had to phone for mine this week, 5 weeks after it was taken. They say that no news is good news, but still, you want it confirmed!!

I did phone them after 2 weeks to check the results and even then they were useless. I originally phoned the antenatal clinic who told me to phone my dr surgery. After waiting for ages to get through to the surgery, they told me to contact the midwife. When I phoned her, she told me to phone the antenatal clinic!! After arguing with her for a bit, she agreed to phone to clinic and find out and ring me back which she did. So at least I knew what the results were.
I'm finding the whole system useless at the moment and for a first timer who doesnt have a clue who to contact or who I should be seeing when, I'm not finding them very helpful at all.
Sorry for the rant!!

I think I got mine after 7 or 8 days…it would drive me mad if I had to wait 6 weeks – yuck!!

That's a really long time. I called my OB/GYN after around 5 days and he told me the results.
