Is this heartburn?

Last night and today I feel like I've been punched in the breastbone. So painful, and made it really hard to sleep or work.

I've had a fair amount of reflux, and assumed that heartburn would be like that, but I'm wondering if this aching pain is it?

That sounds more like indigestion to me. Whenever I get heartburn, it feels like the bottom of my wind pipe is on fire and being tightened in a vice. Its bloody horrible. Try sucking on a mint imperial and see if that helps.

I'll try taking peppermint oil before eating - it helped with the IBS breakout in the first trimester, maybe it will help the wierd chest pains in this one.

I hope I don't start to feel like someone has set my windpipe on fire and grabbed it in a vice. That would be bad.

It IS nasty - just whatever you do, please don't eat an entire cucumber thinking it will help, then drink peppermint tea because it didn't....... I did this when pregnant with DD and I have NEVER been so sick in my life!! (or eaten cucumber or drank peppermint tea since lol).
Peppermint tea on its own does help though actually. I should have mentioned that earlier. x

Luckily I hate cucumber in all its forms. That sounds revolting. Will stick to peppermint based remedies

I had that a couple of weeks ago... it was right before I went to bed and it took forever for me to go to sleep. But it went away the next day.
GL!
