Exhausted - help?!

Hi everyone

I am only just in 2nd trimester now but really looking for some advice or someone to tell me they also felt like this?! I have felt fairly tired throughout pregnancy but over the last 5/6 days I have been absolutely exhausted. I had 9.5 hours sleep last night but when I got up to go to work I was exhausted and felt really dizzy so ended up sleeping for another 3 hours. I thought energy was meant to come back (or perhaps it will soon!). I know its not my blood pressure which was 120/60 and I'm eating regularly and healthy so can only assume it is a baby growth spurt....is there light at the end of the tunnel? Sorry for the rant.........

hi pootle33 , i was feeling the very same as you , and was wondering if there was something wrong . Once i hit the 2nd tri i thought great now i wont feel so tired but i was , sleeping day and night . im now nearly 18 weeks and am feeling so much better . You just need to rest as much as you can and take it easy . I used to think if i take it any more easy i will fall over lol . Everyone is different . take care xx

Yeah, I was hoping for a rush of energy too! I feel better in that the sickness has gone (if only the heartburn would!) and the cramps. Am sleeping/feeling tired a lot still and has been a big adjustment to accept I can't take things at the same rate anymore.

Find and share local baby and toddler groups.

Glad to hear its not just me. The worst thing for me is I didnt make it to work today and I'm not the sort of person who is normally off sick and even though everyone knows I'm pregnant how I hate the thought they might be thinking "what a skiver". Ridiculous, I know but I cant help it......
