Hi Sev!! You had me laughing there about the whole royalty and carrying on a family name. I know what you mean, men just like to know that their names will live on I suppose

I have a feeling as to what I am having and my family seems to agree but I don't want to "jinx" myself.

When are you due Sev?

This is my 3rd bub. I had a strong motherly instinct with the sex of my first two kids, and I was right. So much so, that I forgot to look at the 'package' when my first baby was born (my son). After baby was taken away for measurement and bath etc, I asked for somebody to confirm the sex. The gyno pick up my boy with legs curled up... All I could see was his back, bum, then balls.

I remember smiling, rolling over and sleeping.

Anyway. I'm confident I'm having a boy this time. It won't matter to me because I have a pigeon pair already, but this is my partner's first and maybe only kid. His parents passed away before I met him. His only other relative in Australia is his brother, but he has no kids either. My partner resigned himself to thinking he and his brother just can't have kids. He will be 46 years when the baby is due (I'm 37). I'm sure he'll love either a son or daughter, but I know deep down he'd like a son to carry on the family name. I personally don't see the importance of this if there's nothing to gain from being an heir? It's not as though either of us come from Royalty.

My next ultrasound is set for 26 November and can't wait to find out what it is. In the meantime, I'm sticking to unisex colours.
Well...my intuition was right! Found out last friday! I am so happy!
It's kinda funny how sometimes you just know. I hope everything goes well for you at your ultrasound, and congrats on your 3rd!

ya congrats SEV u sound like u got lots of great support there---- and the sex of the baby matters in some ways and in some ways not=== first off at his age and being his possibly only one----but hopefully not the only one of course if u both want more--- i cant blame him for secretly wishing for a boy to carry on his family name and all--- but the way i see it he will be happy no matter what u have ---its his first --esp. after thinking he probably couldnt have any---- so congrats enjoy it ==== and hey (****blue dust***cause ur new i;ll just tell u that means hopefully you'll get ur boy)

oh and another thing --- try going to google and putting in baby gaga or pregnancy tickers and get urself a ticker and post it on ur signature on ur profile and it will be attached to every message u post on here--- and we can all see how far along u r and best of all u can see how big he/she is everytime u come online)
