Have you had your teeth checked out by a dentist? The only reason I am asking is that you are treating your bleeding gums as and infection or gum disease. My teeth bleed because of the pregnancy and for no other reason. I'd go and make the most of your free dentist appointments and get them checked out. The dentist will advise the best thing.

Be careful about using Corsodyl for so long as it can stain your teeth(although this stain can be removed by your dentist with a scale & polish) I think Corsodyl do now do a mouthwash for everyday use that doesnt stain so might be worth looking out for that one

I don't know if this can improve what is already there... but get a Sonicare if you don't already have one. I started using one in November (right before my bfp) and I LOVE it. I had my teeth cleaned the other day by the dentist. No bleeding, no cavities. They said it was cuz of the sonicare. I am useless about flossing lately but still no problems!

Theyll be fine once you give birth. I had this when p/g before but after m/c my gums miraculously healed straight away- then when got pregnant again theyve been bad ever since, its always a blood bath cleaning them and i'm using a really soft toothbrush. They call it pregnancy gingivitus.

I've been flossing, brushing and also using a flouride rinse and mine seem to be better! Hope this helps. Definitely go get a cleaning once during your pregnancy though, might just need to get rid of some plaque!

I am actually a dental assistant here in the states...
Bleeding gums can be from pregnancy, as many women experience bleeding (in smallish amounts) during hormonal changes, menstruation, and obviously pregnancy due to the increase in blood volume. I am a little concerned by the pain and swelling and the amount of bleeding your are describing. I would make sure to have a dental hygienist take a look, not just a dentist. Some dentists are a little old fashioned in diagnosing periodontal disease as it can be costly to treat. (At least in the US). Dental hygienists are specifically trained to treat these areas. Also, try using a power toothbrush such as a Rotadent or Oral B Triumph, and floss!!
If you DO have gingivitis or periodontal disease, you are not able to treat them on your own. You need to see a dental professional! I hope this helps.
