sooo confused!

Right well besides being fed up with my hip pain, my boss has now made me feel completely useless for not being able to make hosp appts in the afternoon and not giving in my Mat B1 form in....

Now i had a clinic appt at hosp yesterday which was for after 20 week scan (except i was late having that and they also changed clinic appt) my next mw appt at the doctors is when im 25 weeks so i presumed id get the form at this appointment? am i wrong? On the Direct Gov site it is saying i should have written to my employer by 25 weeks.... so what have you all done??

I just feel like crying after the back to work i had this morning!

You get it from the 21st week of pregnancy (just checked). Phone your mw to see if she can get it filled out for you.

Right now you just have to write a letter to your boss and give him your MATB1 when you get it.

As for antenatal appointments, politely remind him that you are entitled to paid time off to attend them and no descriminatoary behavour towards you for being pregnant as you would then be within your rights to seek legal advice as this equates, in the eyes of the law, to sexual discrimination. Also, do to clinic appointment times not being within your control, you are unable to arrange them to suit him.

And also when he turns his back, give him the finger

Thanks hun! I will do the letter now for tommorow and give them Mat B1 when i get it!

Youd think id get more understanding considering boss is a woman but ohhh noo.... GRRR

Thing is i have always rung to try and change appointments as i can go to afternoon ones but hospital said no so what more can i do?? She also started comparing me to other women who have gone on maternity saying well they were able to change their's.....

I dont know! If she does mention it again i am going to have to say something as im entitled to maternity care and she cant do anything about it so why try and bully me!!

x

Honestly, just mention the fact that you could go and see a lawyer right now for her attitude towards you and she should if she's clever, back off.

Just tell her the clinic is only on in the mornings. Here at the hospital if yoru are mw led its a morning clinic and consultant led is an afternoon appointment so there is not much we can do about it. Plus, most maternity care providers are understaffed, so your lucky just to get an appointment.
