Panic attacks??

I was shopping with my mum yesterday, and about 3-4 times just walking around the shops i felt really sick and dizzy, had to go sit down and get a bottle of water!
I told my mum about it and she said she used to get them and there just panic attacks, i have just had time off work with stress at the recently and i have had panic attacks before but nothing like this!
I wasnt feeling ill and nothing got to me i have no reason or idea why the happend? and it keeps happening, usually when im out in places like shops or even at home some times for no reason.
Has anyone else had this at all??

Thanks
xxx

I had something similar on Sunday but think mine was just the sudden realisation that this is real and I am actually having a baby! Stress can do funny things to you hun, have you seen your doc, maybe they can advise on relaxation techniques or something? Sorry not to be more help just didn't want to R & R

Hey LucyEmma

I had this on Friday. Luckily I was at home but my heart started racing very fast and I got very dizzy very quickly and felt sick. DH had to calm me down by breathing with me (looks like he has practice for labour - who needs parent craft classes?? lol) and then gave me some water and a plain chocolate. The breathing helped to calm my racing heart and the sickness and the chocolate helped with the dizziness.

I have suffered panic attacks before and they can come on anytime and are quite scary. Try to breathe through them and stay calm. I always carry a bottle of water and a chocolate now.

xxx

Dizzy and sick could very easily be panic attacks but I had a similar thing before I was pregnant and it turned out i had low blood pressure and low blood sugar. Either way I'd suggest talking to your doc.

Oh I forgot to mention I am currently off work with low blood pressure and y sugar levels are very up and down too. Joeyjo is right get this checked with your GP. They should be able to tell you exactly what is causing it and what to do if it happens again. xx

Whenever I'm weakened a bit by tiredness, low blood sugar or low blood pressure, I'll start to feel dizzy and sick too. It's like my body is telling me to stop, sit down and eat! Then sometimes when I start having symptoms of being dizzy and sick (especially in public) those symptoms can make me feel a bit panicked and even more dizzy and sick... like a vicious cycle!

For myself when I first start feeling weird, I sit down, breathe and eat a little snack. Then when I start feeling normal again I resume with my shopping. It's worth mentioning to your doctor. I bet its just a combination of changes in your body and stress.
