woke up with pain!

yet another pregnancy complaint?

woke up in the middle of the night with piercing pain in my upper tummy - you know the are between your breats and a bit lower? pierces right through me.

reminds me of when i had ulcer. just so horrible! want to throw up to relieve myself of the pain because my head remembers when it was acidic build up. anyone else have this? is this common? how do i make the pain go away??????

i suffer from it badly and apparetntly its worse at night!!
you can get gaviscon on script off your doc that helps me a lot, also a milky drink sometimes helps too

It doesn't look like it's pregnancy related. It might be your stomach, did you eat late?

didn't eat late. ate fish, crabs, and spicy dips for dinner.

also, had a lot of chocolate cake today. threw up already to try and relieve myself from the pain.

had stomach ulcers about 8 months before i got pregnant. hasn't been back since. also read that ulcer is quite rare in pregnancy as our tummies produce less acid. so why oh why am i having this ulcer moment???? it hurts so much!

after what felt like hours and hours (but what was actually just around two hours), the pain has gone! threw up a few times (reminiscent of my ulcer days), surfed on the net a bit to distract myself, and writhed in pain for a few moments at a time - all done now, i hope. got a lil hungry so i had a biscuit.

promise to self: no more chocolate overload EVER!

thanks for reading ladies. will try to reclaim some sleep now (4.25 am my time).

Yeah, I agree, maybe you will be more prone to indigestion because of your ulcer, it may be worth mentioning it to your MW next time you see her, hope it stays away, take care XX
