Hi Guys,

Just wondered if anyone else here had heart operations when they were babies and now are either pregnant or having children.

I had fallotts tretrology when i was 18 months old, and had corrective surgery and had no troubles since. im monitored every year and im fine, but while im pregnant they are going to be monioring me more and the baby more, i have a scan at 16 weeks to check babies heart (not that my defect means my baby will get it) my defect by the way was a hole in the heart and a atery narrowed.

I was just wondering if anyone had any similar things like hole in the hear etc and had normal births, the only thing i think might happen is because of my heart diffculties they may want to give me c-section because of any pressue on my heart.

When my DH was born, he had a hole in the heart which i think closed up by itself. Bubba's heart was checked thoroughly on tues and all looks good. Good luck hun xxx

thanks guys :-) means alot that people take the time to answer, hopefully everything will be fine with my beanie, like i said just because i had heart surgery doesnt mean my baby will x

I had a heart murmer and i had it closed around 6 wks old x
