Anyone getting palpitations??!!

As the title suggests really?! For the last few days they have been getting quite bad. Not only can I hear/feel my pulse everywhere, but the palps are really horrible. I keep feeling like my heart is going to stop!!!!

Anyone else?? Please????!!!!!

Hi there matey,

As you probably guessed I am the same, even when I lie down in bed it feels like my heart is going to break free!!

apparantly it is the increased amount of blood we are having to pump around!!

Trust us to be the same.......

I dont mind the heartbeat thing really - its just the feeling of missing a beat I hate. Oh well - another one of the pregnancy joys......hmmm....

Yep, I get it too and it can be quite scary at times, but I think it's normal as lots of us ladies sem to be having them.
I am going to see my consultant on Monday cos of high blood pressure and I will be mentioning it to him then.

Hi, I get them a lot, I have a floppy mitral valve too which apparently makes them more noticeable (great!) I find they make me feel really sick too, they are awful!

Yup, I'm getting these too, but then again I'm well used to them from before pregnancy: I had heart surgery a few years ago... I'm being monitored through the pregnancy by my cardiologist, but the palps have gotten worse since I last saw him, so I mean to tell him that when I next see him.

For me, I think it may be to do with mild POTS (google it!) ... If you feel like they slow down or go away when you lie down flat for a while, then it could be the same for you. It's to do with low blood pressure, and I'm told it can come on during pregnancy, or get worse if you already have it. Of course, your palps may be something different, but I'd say take it easy and don't overwork yourelf when they are happening!
