pain on right side

for a few weeks now i've had this pain on my right side- where i imagine my ovary is. Mostly it feel like a dull period pain type thing but sometimes . especially if i move fast or sneeze it hurts ALOT! it also hurts if i poke myself there. i've been putting it down to stretching but i have had this pain before when i wasnt pregnant. has anyone else had this...do u think it could b a cyst? i know they can b quite common in pregnancy altho last scan didn't show any. i've got my 20 week scan 2moro so can get it checked but wondered what everyone thought it could be?

Hi, I get pain in this area as well and have done for a number of years now. I did go to the docs and had an ultrasound on the area but it showed nothing. It isnt there all the time, but just shows up now and then. I have had it whilst pregnant as well and just put it down to maybe the baby aggravating whatever it may be, although again, during my 4 scans so far, nothing has shown up. It is very painful when it happens and seems to come with no warning. I didnt have any luck with the doctors finding out what it is with me, one of those unsolved mysteries, so if you get any kind of idea from your docs/ultrasound i would be interested to hear so it gives me something to go on. I googled ligament pain yesterday and discovered that it can be mostly right sided as the uterus has a natural tendancy to lean towards the right so maybe thats what it is

thats interesting...didn't know that! maybe thats what it is then. i get a lot of my period pains on the right side too. maybe thats y!

I had this exact same thing. And was fretting mad and went to doc's he total me it was pressure. I still get it now especially if i do lots of active stuff ie hoovering

I know EXACTLY what you mean, and I was thinking the same thing the other day maybe it was a cyst (i had one at about age 16) but it only comes on sometimes its so wierd!!
