Advice anyone??? UPDATE

Hi everyone i know im a little early to be posting here but i need advice

I went to the loo this morning and i've had a bit of brown spotting not alot but it was there

Ive had a lot of bleeding early in this pregnancy but haven't had any since 9 weeks.
I checked on one website if this was normal but it said the later in pregnancy the bleed occurs the worse it could be!!
Im also having period pains!!
What should i do the hosp or gp wont see me as its a saturday and i have my scan on tues anyway

im so scared that something is wrong - please help

Had my 12 week scan today and everything is fine

Ive never felt more relieved in my whole entire life!!!!
Apparently the bleeds are being caused by cervical erosion(???) all i know is this sound gross lol so im going to google it!!

I was also having period like cramps this past week. Do you think it has anything to do with the uterus moving up around this time? I am interested to know also. I know another friend who spotted in the 12th week too.

I had a lot of cramping round week 12 and brown spotting is perfectly normal. If it is fresh blood then I would contact the EPAU at your local hospital for advice.
I had a huge bleed at 9 weeks and then again at 15 weeks and everything was ok. I was so scared but I found the midwives/ nurses at the EPAU to be really understanding and helpful. They told me if I was worried about anything to just give them a call and someone would always be there to advise me.

i had a bleed twice in my pregnancy. not so much but both after using the loo. i´ve also read that this is normal due to constipation issue. plus, yours is brown in color - also read that brown blood is old blood and hence nothing to worry about.

as for the cramping, though, i'd check with my doctor about it. any kind of cramping for me worries me.

I had brown spotting and some cramping at 14 weeks, no previous problems though - was all fine, but if you are worried then maybe ring your midwife?

Thank you so much for your replies girls! Ive stopped spotting now and the pains have also gone so i'll have to wait for my scan tomorrow - im still so worried but there is nothing i can do so i've just been keeping myself busy!

Since it was brown it was old so I to have been told this is nothing to worry about! Good luck at your scan tomorrow
