I know what you mean by foreign accent hun, I'm quite used to strong accents my dad is from Liverpool and my mum is from Hong Kong, I've also got friends with very strong Irish and Scottish accents, I don't normally have a problem with them.

However when I was having my ears checked out a few years ago I had no idea what the guy was saying to me, even my husband struggled and he's very good with accents too.

I think it's really rude when they start talking about you in front of you i their own language unless I know it's because one of them may need translating.

With the gender thing, I think it's quite normal that they can't always be 100% sure what sex it is, it probably came across wrong as they had already given you a bad experience with them. Hopefully at your private scan they'll be able to give you a more positive answer.

My friends second little boy was a girl at both their gender scans, it wasn't until she found out she had a low lying placenta and had another scan at 32 weeks did they discover it was a boy, the little monkey had been hiding his bits up till then!

Aww hun, Im so sorry you had such a horrible experience, I would defiantly get a private scan as they really didn't seem sure and wouldn't want to believe what they said. Hope all goes okay, take care XX
