Here I am!



I've decided since speaking to my GP that I'm able to comfortably start this journey now. I've been walking on eggshells around myself for days, But here I am!!

My Story

Well we began TTC in Sept of 2005, 34 long long months ago. We were hit with a m/c at 11.5 weeks, and were devastated. That was when we realised we wanted a family no matter what. So began the long road. We went unassisted for a long time, we just assumed pregnant once, pregnant again? - It wasn't to be. It was a tiring month after month process with no positive results. After a year my concerns became obvious. Each month when AF arrived I would become so down and depressed but still, I just thought it would happen on it's own.

It wasn't until after 2 years of TTC with no luck I sort medical help. So armed with a folder full of charts, temps, pictures and recordings I marched into my GP and crumbled into a pool of tears while blurting out my story. Thank god she was an angel, and referred me to a Gyno for more help. He immediately put me on Metformin and Clomid after a series of blood work that determined that I was borderline Endo, and also suffering PCOS. So basically I don't ovualte without medical help - So that would explain it huh? - I was so angry for waiting so long to get help! - Well first round of clomid went great, nice ovulation - but no BFP, then the second round of clomid - and no ovulation...So we were left scratching our heads. The Gyno decided to double the dosage to 100mgs. Low and behold here I am, yet I got no positive OPK, so I just assumed I would out of the running.

Just goes to show never trust any test 100%. lol.

So here we are, expecting what I can only call a miracle.
I cannot wait until I can begin to relax and enjoy this pregnancy, and I feel that will be after I hit the second tri and I'm past the danger period!

So far I've not had a lot of symptoms, in fact it's all been pretty smooth. This afternoon I had some slight cramping, but mentioned it to my GP and she seems to think it's normal? I sure hope so. My nipples are on fire though! But no sore boobs. My sister is at the starting line for a shopping frenzy, but I'm trying to hold her back until we're 12 weeks and out of the danger period - then it's a free for all!! Hahaha I'll update as the days go on
