I'm Currently Feeling: | Wanna know something? That was the only time up until I was in grade 10 that I had long hair. After this my mom always cut it into a pixie cut. GAG! Grade 10 came around and I grew it and it was once down to my waist.
This is why my daughter has long hair (she had it down to her waist at the beginning of kindergarten). Yet, she wants it cut to her shoulders now. Contemplating it as now I can see my mom's dilemna ... it's a pain in the arse to comb out long hair! | | | | Status: Offline

First one was when I was about 3 and my brother was a baby.
Second one was me as a baby.
Third one I was about 4 and I was a flower girl for someone's wedding. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Emily is just the same. I love her hair long. Fortunately we havent had head lice since she left junior school! (thats aged 11). When she was younger and I was combing and brushing it for her she drove me crazy with her yelping and moaning!! She's got it just past her shoulders but wants it shorter and with a fringe but I'm still hanging on to her looking like a little girl!!!

I'm Currently Feeling: | Gosh, isn't that lice nasty! Amanda had it once a few summers ago. My stepdaughter brought it over. Ugh! It took weeks and weeks to get out of her hair. I think what stopped it is that I had a very high heat straight iron and decided to burn the buggers out.
Luckily, we have had only one incidence. If it were Jayden, I'd buzz it off. But, with girls, you just can't do that! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thats the beauty of boys and clippers!!! God I combed and combed and lotioned and tea-tree oiled her for what seemed like months. We knew the girl who was passing them on - her mother wouldnt tie her hair back for school and when they got an out break she didnt treat her hair!!! It was like she refused to admit that she might actually have them!! They like clean hair for goodness sake!!!!
I hope she never gets them again but if she does I'll take your tip and fry the little bleeders!!!!

x | I think the straight iron is what kept me away from getting them. My daughter and I used the same brush, and my stepdaughter used it. I was very surprised I didn't get them but I straight iron my hair and probably fried them. Disgusting, I know.
Amazing that they like clean hair, isn't it? I had always thought that they liked dirty hair but my daughter's was always clean.
Tea tree oil, special lotions, and the combing for hours every night. It was very icky! LOL As you well know!
Hope those days are long gone. I cringe whenever a notice comes home from school. | | | | Status: Offline
